I provide water, a snack bar and a backpack for each hiker if needed. For centuries the Cahuilla Indians hiked to these hill tops that overlook Palm Springs to send smoke signals to nearby tribes that they traded with. The hike is on trails known mainly by locals & is on land adjacent to the Santa Rosa & San Jacinto Mountains National Monument on a network of some of the best hiking trails in Palm Springs. You'll enjoy Palm Springs hiking at it's best with lots of scenic views of the Coachella Valley & a hike into a hidden Palm tree oasis. I know these trails well & the most scenic viewpoints along the way to enjoy some of the best views of Palm Springs & far beyond. You'll see desert vegetation close up and you'll see from the desert valley floor all the way up to beautiful nearby mountain peaks, while getting in some great exercise. The endangered Peninsular Bighorn Sheep come down to the desert to give birth during the winter, so if you're here then hopefully we'll see some.
